During the last 10 years, Bear River Farms has become a role model in many ways for a new way of farming, especially in terms of applied biodynamic practices. This comes with the responsibility to share our know-how and practical experience with other farmers (or beginners) who are heading in a similar direction.
Therefore we offer workshops about the basics and principles of biodynamic farming practices. Those workshops take place on our farm, because we can directly prove that we not only know what we are talking about, but also practice our knowledge on an everyday basis.
The workshops usually start with a theoretical part that leads into hands-on practice. The subject differs from workshop to workshop. But the intent of these events is to make clear why we are doing what we are doing and why things should be done in a certain way and not differently.
The next public biodynamic workshops on our farm will take place on:
Sunday May 14th 2017 at 11am (spring edition)
Sunday October 1st 2017 at 11am (fall edition)
Our experts are invited to give talks about biodynamic practices at symposiums, conferences and workshops around the world. Further we offer consulting services to farms and vineyards in regard to biodynamic questions, and give sessions at high schools and colleges about sustainable farming techniques.
We also offer farm tours to school classes. Teachers who plan to bring their students to the farm are encouraged to contact us for more information.
